Case Study
Clay Art ELO-P Proposal
Translating an enrichment program into a district-aligned, measurable service model.
I led the development of this Visual and Performing Arts proposal from RFP analysis through final submission, owning strategy, writing, stakeholder coordination, compliance, document design, and quality control.

The response proposed an eight-week Clay Art program for four sessions for TK through sixth-grade students across as many as 27 elementary school sites.

The opportunity carried an estimated annual contract value of approximately $120,000 to $400,000.
The Challenge

The proposal needed to demonstrate more than the appeal of the program itself. It had to show that Strategic Kids could deliver consistent, standards-aligned arts instruction across multiple schools while managing staffing, materials, enrollment, evaluation, and district coordination.

The response also needed to connect Clay Art directly to the district’s priorities for student engagement, equitable access, school climate, and college and career readiness.
My Approach

I developed a complete service model around the student experience, including grade-specific curricula, staffing ratios, on-site recruitment, bilingual family outreach, instructor preparation, program evaluation, and a culminating gallery showcase.

To make the proposal specific to the district, I incorporated its strategic principles and community survey findings into the narrative. I also created measurable performance targets covering student enjoyment, re-enrollment interest, attendance, staff satisfaction, program continuation, and completed student work.

Supporting materials included three eight-week lesson plans, a sample schedule, student and staff surveys, bilingual recruitment collateral, and visuals from the instructor curriculum app I developed.
The Outcome

Strategic Kids was selected to provide Clay Art programming after submitting the highest-rated proposal among competing vendors, with one evaluator scoring the submission 100 across the board. The program model, lesson-plan structure, and evaluation framework developed for the proposal became reusable assets for future enrichment opportunities.
